Who runs this site
SerbianPhrases.com is written and maintained by Marina Petrović, a Serbian language teacher. It is one person, not a company. You can reach me at the address on the contact page.
What this site collects
These pages themselves do not ask you for your name, your email, or anything else. There is no sign-up form and no account here.
It does use Google Analytics, which tells me roughly how many people visit, which pages they read, and which country they came from. I see totals, not individuals. I use it to decide what to write next.
If you'd rather not be counted at all, choose Necessary only in the cookie banner, or use the Cookie settings link in the footer any time to change your mind. Nothing on this site stops working either way.
Cookies
Two kinds, and you choose which:
- Necessary — one cookie that remembers your cookie choice itself. Always on; there's nothing to switch off, and nothing else it does.
- Analytics — set by Google Analytics, only if you accept it. It's what lets me see visit counts. You can turn this on or off at any time from Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
Links to other places
Some pages link out — to the free and paid courses, and to exercises on Quizlet and Wordwall. Once you follow one of those links you are on somebody else's site, under their rules, not mine. If you sign up for the free course, that platform handles your email address and I'm the one who reads it. It is never sold, rented, or passed on.
Buying the full course
The full course is a one-time payment of $9, at premium.serbianphrases.com, processed by ProductDyno, a third-party platform that handles the checkout and your card details — I never see or store your payment information myself. ProductDyno emails you access to the course immediately after payment.
All sales are final. Because the course is digital content delivered straight away, I don't offer refunds once you've received access. If something's actually gone wrong on my end — you were charged and never got in, for instance — write to me and I'll sort it out.
The content
The phrases, translations, explanations and exercises here are my own work. You are very welcome to:
- use them to learn Serbian, for as long as you like, at no cost
- print pages for yourself or for your own students
- quote a phrase or two somewhere, with a link back
Please don't copy whole pages onto another site or sell them. If you'd like to use something of mine properly, just ask — the answer is usually yes.
Mistakes
Language is argued about, and I get things wrong sometimes. Nothing here is offered as a final authority; it is offered as what a teacher of thirty-plus years would tell you. If you spot an error, tell me and I'll fix it.
Governing law
This site is run from Serbia, and these terms are governed by Serbian law. If you're buying the course from within the EU or UK, nothing here is meant to override consumer-protection rights you have that can't be waived — but for digital content delivered immediately with your agreement, the right to cancel typically ends once access is given, which is why the no-refunds policy above applies.
Changes
If any of this changes I'll update the date at the top. There's no mailing list, so there's nowhere to announce it.
